About EzriCare Eye Drops

This is an over-the-counter product used to treat dry eyes. A big segment of the population at some point is going to experience dry eye and will opt for lubricant eye drops to soothe the discomfort. The EzriCare Artificial Tear’s main active ingredient of eye drops is carboxymethylcellulose sodium which is present in many other eye drop products. The chemical compound produces similar effects to that of a natural tear to moisturize dry eyes. This can help alleviate symptoms such as stinging, and burning and improve overall eye comfort.

In January 2023, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) began an investigation into 50 bacterial infections in twelve different states that appear to be related to the over-the-counter eye drop product. This led to the first lawsuit ever filed nationwide over injuries related to eyedrops. Theresa Phillips age 60 was the first person to file a lawsuit related to her eyedrops linked to a drug-resistant bacterial infection called Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
